I have been resurrecting a Kodak Moviedeck 465. Had no knowledge of this projector but have replaced the shutter and lubed. It is working but the film does not thread. Anyone have a description of how the mechanism should work? I have the repair manual for M80 projectors but what it describes does not seem to apply.

The process starts by dragging the film through the "U" shaped slot to make the turn towards the slot. Then comes a pretty standard "insert until it grabs" kind of auto thread. There is a trimmer inside one of the side panels: this could help (...or not.)

Eventually it has to get down to the take-up reel and it sweeps onto the hub. It's about the best I've encountered where reliability is concerned, because of the horizontal reel orientation.

In between you have all sorts of twists and turns that have to be passed through. These paths are accessible by removing the bottom cover.
