Last night we were watching the DVD of High Plains Drifter, an excellent Clint Eastwood Western. About 40 years ago I had the U8 200ft digest of this film, which did a great job of cramming the whole story into 8 minutes! Anyway, I must have run it through the projector a lot of times because when I watched the feature last night, I knew exactly when every scene of the digest kicked in, and when it was going to kick out. I never realized how much these super 8 digests can get into your head, and have experienced this 'digest dejavu' phenomenon on many full length films that I have seen on DVD or at the cinema.

Paul, [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
I know exactly what you mean, when i watch a feature film of one we have as a digest i am doing the same thing. It's kind of a built in thing for me i think. I cant help myself. Thankfully, with High Plains Drifter, i now have this in scope on 16mm and a lovely print it is to. I am currently doing a little work on it to make it a better print so my 600ft (originally 2 x 400) is now on its way to a chap in the States to continue to enjoy it. [Wink]

I always found it a thrill to buy a film and then later see the exact same images appearing on a TV set!

The other great kick was to buy a film, for example Movietone News, and go to the cinema to see whatever..... and the same moving logo was there in front of you large as life! It felt like you had at home....REAL cinema!
