New to the forum. I have a sound 6000 that I bought new 1978. I wanted to show the kids some movies from my youthful travels and found the belt has eroded away. Found a belt on the internet. Is the replacement straight forward our should I try and find a service manual.

The only hard part is when looping the belt around the large driven pulley since there's barely enough clearance for the belt to be pinched in. But once you get around that, the rest is just a piece of cake.
BTW if you want to go cheap (like me ),try looking at some hardware store selling round o-ring. Better buying a bunch of various size to try. Would be a lot cheaper than buying those "genuine" replacement belts.
