For sale in Super 8 magnetic sound "Ganovenehre" [Honor Among Thieves] which was made in 1966.
It is on 2x400ft spools, these are part 1 and part 3 of a condensed 3-reeler issued in 1976 by UFA-ATB. Please note that the sound is German with no English sub-titles. The film is in black & white and printed on Orwo stock. Suplied in two clam-shell boxes, each with different artwork in full colour, and on original spools. Excellent picture and sound and has had little use.
This comedy is set in the "Golden Twenties" in Germany with appropriate music and dancing. Gert Frobe plays a gangleader who gives a former safe-cracker, Georg (who has just been released from prison) a job as a pimp. Georg discovers that his girl friend is one of the prostitutes he is to oversee. Jealousy among the other gang members leads to a plan to kill Georg.
I have projected the film but as I do not understand German I do not know if the missing middle reel is important to the story. The film commences with the original titles and finishes with "Ende".
