Hi to all, I am looking for this print in any condition. Also still searching the Red Fox flat Version of Poltergeist. Thanks for any help

That'll be a HARD find. I have onlt seen one Cineavision scope super 8 part 2 in the last five years or so), just watch, one will pop up tommorow), but the FOX regular scope 400ft part 2 seems to pop up at least a few times per year, and while it isn't in that specific Cineavision format, it's in scope.

It's funny that you're looking for that title, as I and my family just watched out scope STAR WARS part 2 just last night. Here is a link to the last part of that digest that we put up on youtube a few years ago ...

(sorry the image isn't any better). I've noticed that most of the digest has very good color, but slightly off to the first half of the digest (concerning color)

From what I have heard from those who have it, The cineavision digest was printed on a lesser eastman film stock and most of those have turned quite pinky. You'll have more of a chance of finding decent color for the digest in selecting the Fox scope part 2, (as you can see from the youtube video, as there are still good color copies out there).

I think my print was the cineavision print that Osi referred to. There was no indication from the packaging that it was that format (the packaging just said ‘scope’) but the logo and the black bars each side of the image were the giveaways. Keep your eye out and one will turn up! Don’t expect to find an unfaded one though!

Osi's right - it may difficult to find a Cineavison print of the 400ft Pt. 2 and most will be faded.

As Osi has said, the Ken 'scopes are more likely to have kept colour and are hugely enjoyable, despite missing some top & bottom of frame.

I was lucky enough to hire a Cineavison print plus anamorphic lens when I was a 16 year old kid and let me tell you, it was like your 8mm projector had taken you to a real cinema.

That said, the Ken 'scope with a Kowa scope lens still looks pretty nice even in this HD digital age.

I still have STAR WARS Part 2 copy in CINEAVISION.

It has a Cineavision red labels on the clamshell type packaging.

It also has a label stating ... PROPORTIONALLY REDUCED SCOPE PRINT ; REQUIRES ANAMORPHIC ( "SQUEEZE" ) LENS.
It is numbered F-64. Most likely it is faded.

Forgive me if this has been explained previously, but is it known why Fox licensed both Cineavision and 'normal' scope versions of the same 400' release? Did this happen with any other release?
