I am pleased to announce the 24 AND 18 FPS rubber wheels are ready within a week of my go ahead BUT,I have to order a minimum of 50 Pairs and the cost will be £12 for a pair,(ie one of each)P+P would only be 50p UK or £1.50 rest of the globe.
Because of the minimum order and the cost i will need to sell at least 30 pairs.
Sir Bill PArsons has been very kind to test the 24fps rubber for me and last night announced he was happy with it and that it worked fine and quality is fine.
To fit the rubber the clucth wheel needs to be taken out. A relativly simple task which i dont want to go into here right now.
Once off, its is a case of remove the old rubber wheel, MOST IMPORTANT get every piece of OLD rubber bits off the metalwork. I could suggest a little paint remover gel working in with an old tooth brush. This will ensure the new rubber fitted spins true.
Bill explained that to make it easier to fit the new one on he immersed it in warm-hot water, NOT BOILING. and as it was so well made to size in this instance Bill got it on with no glue and it worked so the fitting is clearly very good, although a SMALL dab of loctite metal/rubber bond would be sensible.
Altough i have troubled you Elmo 1200D/HD owners to let me know if you want some please could you let me know once again so i can take definate orders before they are made BUT I AM NOT asking for anyone to send cheques etc at this point. I only require e mails from anyone interested so i can gather a clear order. If i cant reach my minimum of 30 i shall unfortunatly have to put it to rest. Thank you all for your time and i do hope i am helping in our hobby. [Wink]
And my thanks to Mr Bill Parsons for his help and time with the testing. This has given the product the stamp of an expert. [Wink]

This must have been brought up "before my time" (myself not having been a forum member for very long yet), but it's the first I hear of new rubber wheels for the ST1200HD. I have to be dumb and ask: what is the advantage of getting these? Or are they only to replace old/worn/stiff/etc. rubbers that absolutely won't do their job anymore (which seems to keep the projector running at a fairly constant speed without causing major rumble in the process)? [Cool]

I just nearly got a heart attack, thinking the rubber rollers were at last ready for real, only to discover an old thread has been revived. Pity...

Maybe we should all go ahead and add our e-mail addresses here, as requested in the original post?

Mine is jbister @ neo.rr.com ...
