I hear you there, so many times I'd love to buy a projector from Germany but the shipping quotes they give me usually kills the deal right then.

it's not the cost that I'm scared of it's the condition the projector is in when it arrives that does me. Couriers seem to use parcels as footballs these days and the heavier they are the more hammer they get.
