Hi there,

In addition to looking for an Elmo standard/regular 8 sound projector, as posted in a previous thread, I am also seeking a case or protective cover, preferably of proprietary manufacture, for my Eumig S 810 D projector.

For some reason, Eumig seemed to think that their projectors wouldn't get dusty, however stored, and therefore didn't need a cover or case of any sort - save the cardboard box which it came in. How stupid is that? I can't believe a company making such precision equipment could have such an oversight.

So, does anyone know where such an item might be obtained? I'd be grateful for any information leading to the capture of one! Thanks.

David,

Finding an original
vinyl case covers may be
non existant. Not to say
that old camera shops may
have something on hand.

In the interim, may I suggest
a rather oversized Tea Cozy
to cover the projector?

Michael

Thanks, Michael, for the suggestion.

Actually, I am currently using an old Kenwood Chef food mixer plastic flexible cover - but it's not the same! Other suggestions include computer tower covers etc......

I should have mentioned this in my original post; - sorry. [Embarrassed]

Hi David. I have sent you a message. I am a little hard to get hold of at moment as this is Panto filming season, so I am all over the country. I work in video production you see which takes me just about everywhere.
Happy days.
Lee

Didn't want to hassle you - - - yes I did! [Wink]

Good luck with the panto filming.

Just didn't want to lose the cover. Final PM sent.

They certainly made them but you had to buy them as an accessory. My 824 instruction manual has a photo of one - looks good and even has a zip up compartment for the lead etc. There must have been a range as it says "when ordering quote the projector model". I don't suppose there are many around as I can only once remember seeing one on eBay.

Thanks for that, Adrian. I'm certainly glad I snapped it up if that is the case. [Big Grin]

Lee does state that it is for the 810D, so I should be OK.

Anyway, "the cheque is in the post" so to speak!

BTW, looks like there's an immaculate S810D projector on eBay right now, if anyone's interested. Item No. 230075011069

Kindest regards
