PX-14 (EPX-14) Replacement Battery for Fujica P1/P100/P105, Fujica Z1/Z2, Fujica P300 and Other Cameras
This is the replacement battery for the red Mallory mercury battery that you'll find in several of the Fujica Single-8 cameras. Although these operate at slightly higher voltage than the original (now banned) mercury batteries, these have been used sucessfully in all Fujica models.

I bought these for my camera, to find it didn't need them! Two available at £5 each. Postage £1.50 in the UK.

Simon, I might take you up on one of these if still available. My P300 started to give very dark results ages a go and I have to say I didn't realise they had a meter battery. Should have read the instruction book.

I will dig my camera out later and check.
