I know that title is wide open to interpretation, so to clear things up, I need a volume control for a GS-1200. [Big Grin]

Thanks, Kev.

I need a volume control just in case I want to use the speaker out option. Right now the left volume control spins around and around. If I try to use it for a mono film it is either wide open or nothing. I called Leon, but so far nothing has turned up(Gosh, I just made a pun without trying [Big Grin] ).

Dan,
If you know the value of the pot.Example,250K or 50K,a relacement should be easy to find. Many electronis supply companies online, just match value and size of it.

John, good point. I guess a generic pot would do the trick or is there something unique to the GS-1200 control?

Its a 10K ohm log pot. It also has a splined shaft for the knob to fit on.

It is possible to un-solder this pot from the circuit board and then strip it down to possibly effect a repair. Yes it is possible to get somethng else to do the job but you may have problems with the shaft length.

Kev.

Should be an easy replacement.Switchcraft pots seem to be the best.Good luck.
