hi I'm looking for a good regular 8mm projector. I've not had much luck finding a Bolex M8. Is there one I should be looking for besides that? I have a Bell and Howell filmo regent 122 but the bulbs are 55 bucks a piece and thought I'd look for another projector. I show films to kids on a large screen so brightness is another factor I am looking for. Thanks much for any advice.

I've got some REVERE P-90 projectors that are absolutely great! They are gentle on your film (a lot of 8mm projectors like to eat film you know!) They have variable projection speed, handle 400 ft reels, the bulbs don't cost an arm and a leg (CZX 500W) and they are reliable as hell - I've been using them for many years and can't really say a bad thing about them - If you decide that you could use one or two (I have six) let me know - You know you'll get a good deal here on the forum ---- Ray

Thanks Raymond. I think I wouldn't mind buying one as I'm so paranoid of blowing out my one DAR bulb for that Regent. If you could tell me what you were thinking of in terms of price with shipping I'd appreciate it. By the way in my search on the web I found this on YouTube- it's sort of an affectionate little film about the projector and home movies. -The title is "Revere Model P-90"

Hi Richard - I just noticed that you are new to the forum, WELCOME !!!! - I am a fairly new member myself and I am so glad to be here, the wealth of information from everyone is amazing, it's like one big happy family - $70.00 (PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING) will get you a great 8mm projector that won't let you down and will make screening your films a breeze - Let me know what you think, Ray
