Selling an excellent condition elmo st1200 hd projector. Very clean! An great running machine. I recently went through everything an cleaned and lubed it up. It is purring like st1200 new! This is a 2 track model meaning you can connect to a stereo amp for your stereo films. Asking $325 plus shipping. Jim, any possible solution if it is? I have one of those and it's NOISY ... Keeping the 18/24 switch in pressure makes it okay

I think Bill said it was quite an expensive fix ... One can then probably not take one of the shutters from a defective one and put it?

What's the deal with rubber around the shutter and why is it bad? How can I tell if my 1200HD has it?

Yes, it still has the rubber on the shutter.

I can see why its a concern as I had an older st1200 where the rubber started to deteriorate and eventually started falling off. I simply took a razor blade and peeled the rubber off like the skin of an apple. Once removed it was just fine.

There was plenty of room with the shutter in place to perform this removal. So I didn't have to remove anything.
