The take up reel isn't spinning properly ... Any chance of repairing a thing like this or is tape to make it firmer the only way to still be able to use this projector

It's a Mark-S 710D

Bolex (in Switzerland) has spares for Eumig projectors and service some models. Needless to say, they are not cheap.

Are they the same on the older 610 models? I do have a few spare silent projectors

The best way to know is to check and see if it matchs with what you have.

Is the spindle too wide or stretched to hold the reel; or the spindle doesn't spin? some lube such as machine oil will work if it's sluggish since it's not belt driven. If you need the part due to being stretched, I have it from an 810 machine. You can email me at JCapp35@aol.com.

Found the answer, it's a plastic piece that has fallen off. It's still loose, but I'll try to add a tape or something to get more pressure on it.

Thanks

Just wondering if you need the spindle adaptor
Is the part you need what goes into reel to hold it on?
Look on Ebay, if you haven't tried, you may have some luck, I had to find a adaptor for my EUmig 912, which worked fine, maybe not what u need, anyway you may find something to do the job. Quite a few sellers of parts for old projectors on Ebay, I was quite surprised how many. good luck. BTW if you have any idea how to clean sound head if that is what it uses to pick up sound from film, in a Eumig S912, let me know,

Vidar, what sort of glue did you use that would bond that plastic together?
