The moment has passed. As these lamps are so very difficult to obtain now I have converted the projector to 240v as these lamps are more plentiful.

This seller is offering A1/5 50V 250W lamps which appear to be the same as A1/15 lamps though normally A1/5 means 110V 250W lamps with the same base. The seller also offers 100V 250W lamps. Projector bulb A1/5

I hadn't noticed that. The conclusion seems to be only the A1/15 is actually a 50V lamp and A1/5's are 100-115V or 240-250V only. Click here for 100V version

This is definitely not a seller I would recommend. The descriptions are often misleading and the prices are always very high. They recently advertised (and sold) an RCA Hollywood projector that they claimed was fully tested but was missing the spool arms! I'd like to know how they did that?

I always check the feedback and other items for sale before buying on Ebay. This seller appears to be a general dealer not a specialist so caution is advised.

Paul Yes you are spot on. Insinuates to be experienced with cine/camera equipment, but anyone who can sell a projector without spool arms and claim that it is fully tested should be treated with extreme caution don't you think?

Terry, I agree about the spool arms. Just turning on a projector and seeing if the motor and lamp come on is not enough. For example Bell & Howell 16mm projectors with broken worm gears may run (noisily). Also what was the results of the "tests?"
