Looking through ebay today there is a GS1200 for sale. I have no association with the sale just posting an alert in case a fellow collector is looking for a GS1200.
kobitaro is the vendor. He has a buy it now option for $700. Seams a fair price if the unit is trouble free.

The seller is in Japan and the shipping is $220. Physical condition looks a little not so good. Lots of nicks on the front cover. Ebay has attracted the sellers that sell on Yahoo Japan Auctions and they do not get the same price over there as we do here.
The GS sells for around 400-600 there but the only problem? The sellers there do NOT ship to the USA. So the sellers raise the price and list it on Ebay USA.
Thats also why the wording is a little confusing as well.
Seller also has another GS for $1200 so they have definitely done there homework..sort of. With the shipping it comes to $1420. And unless that is thoroughly checked..not a good deal.
They must feel the crazy americans will pay and arm and a leg for all things Super 8!
Here's another GS and with shipping its cheaper. Condition looks better too.

But one thing to note is that the machine has a different power cable than the US GS and they are not compatible. So if any of you get these Japanese Domestic Model Elmo projectors...don't lose the power cables!! [Smile]

The first listing is a version 2 machine. The second listing is the older version 1 machine.
Good to see Alan posting again! [Smile]

Hi Alan I did not spend to much time reading the sale but you bring up valid points, could be a little risky.

Thank you Paul. I do not post as much as Id like to sometimes but I do try to check in to keep up with the latest threads.
