To the best of memory:
1. There was more than one model, at least a sound and silent speed vesion (there was also a Super8 version)
2. They have been out of production for some time (several years if not 10) so chances of a "new" one are slim.
3. In the US it was an NTSC system and I imagine that other versions were sold in other parts of the world.
4. There was a slide projector version as well
5. Clive Tobin builds a new Super8 version of this kind of device.
6. Eiki announced and built one (at least one I saw at a trade show in the late 1970s) based on the SL projector.
7. These do show up on ebay from time to time and command big bucks.

I think one "improved" version of the Elmo added s-video out, but I'm not sure. They might have stopped making these in the early 1990s.

Hi,

All models were available as NTSC and as PAL-models. (The PAL-models have been in used in Secam-countries like France as well.)
Their main weakness is the low-res video-camera (250 lines only). Hence the French company behind the above links offers conversions to newer/better video-cameras.
So far I've only seen the above sound versions. Hence I don't know whether there have been silent versions. And AFAIK there haven't been different versions as well. But I'm not 100% sure about this!
There was also a rumour about a "telecine"-version of the GS1200 here on this forum, but it looks like that modell wasn't sold under the "TRansVideo"/"TRV"-label.

The TRV-16 was the original version
The TRV-16G was a later version, has genlock, not sure what else
The TRV-16H has a higher resolution and S-Video output.
