I have a set of 1-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2-inch lenses for my Eikis (Sankors mostly.) So far, so good. What I would like to know is if anyone has used/compared one of the Isco 1.3 zooms that are being offered on a regular basis on EBay, and if I could expect better performance from this German lens compared to my primes?

I hasten to add that growing up with photography, of course primes were 'always better' than zooms, so with that caveat: are the relatively inexpensive Sankors still better than a potentially higher-level zoom like the Isco in question?

(My ultimate choice would be a set of the golden Schneiders they made specifically for 16mm, but.... [Eek!] )

Any opinions on this comparison?

Claus.
