Hello, I have a question regarding the Bauer P6 Studio projector. I have this machine, but the vertical image steadiness has always felt a bit shaky to me. I increased the film pressure in the gate by means of the two screws on the lens holder, and image stability improved a lot, but there´s still a slight rhythmical unsteadiness, so I´m thinking the friction in the film feed arm may be too high. Perhaps the feed friction has to be high on the P6 studio, since it´s a doubleband machine? Also, since the lamp house has condensers in it, the P6 gives a really bright picture, about 50% brighter than the Bauer P8 I compared it to. I´m thinking this perhaps also means increased heat in the gate, and perhaps the springs in the film pressure plate grow weaker because of this?
Should I change the film pressure plate? How can I decrease the friction in the film feed arm?
Cheers Lars
