Just received an 8K5 via UPS. Upon opening, I noted the cover/door/speaker was ajar and the takeup reel arm was broken. If anyone has a parts machine that would like to sell me a reel arm, please contact me. Thanks. Here's a pic.

Barry

If you can't find one, what about using Auto Weld that is used for automotive repairs?

It's a shame that happens. I hope it was packed right. What does it take to get something from point A to point B without breakage?

Good luck!

Pat: I had it heli-arc welded and found a textured paint that matches almost perfectly. Only problem is that the reel arm does not fold up like it should. It touches in the middle of the film advance knob. There must have been a bit of error in the welding, making the shape of the arm slightly off. So,, still looking for a replacement. The projector and amp work perfectly. It's a pretty nice unit. This is the first major damage I have had, and have received over 80 projectors in the mail. Sent pics to shipper and UPS covered it. Already have a credit on charge card for it.
