Having been used to halogen lamped 16mm projector, I recently acquired a B & H with the A1/207 1,000w lamp, rated at 240v. I was surprisingly pleased with the light output and actually say that the picture colour is better than with halogen!!

Thats interesting. How about the heat from the lamp? I have a old Specto that has a 500 Watt lamp and that runs quite hot. How's lamp availabilty. Electric bill's must cost more to burn that lamp.
