Hello - I have come across some films on core and I would like to transfer them to a reel.
My question: Are there any resources i.e. the internet, books, etc...that describe how to complete this process? I have searched film forums and the internet without satisfactory results.

Marc, if you are that desperate to transfer onto a reel,it is very simple.Get yourself a piece of plywood at least the diameter of the film you are transfering, put a fixing in the middle of the plywood eg a screw, keep the board flat and afix the free end of film to a empty spool either on your projector or rewinds and transfer the film.Rewinds are preferable, but I have done it as I didn't have a split spool.Keep the proceedure nice and slow and there wont be any accidents.

Thank you Michael and Hugh for the tips. I have about 15 Jetson's cartoons on core that I would to check out, so I was trying to cut some initial costs.
I will purchase a set of rewinds in the near future, especially for dealing with features.
