Was there a thread on here that explained which film cleaner would help shrink these ugly lines I have a 16mm film which has this pretty much throughout the whole film

Jim,

Most cleaners are effective when dealing with base scratches. Adrian Winchester talked about the "water treatment" for emulsion scratches in this thread. However I believe this was in reference to light emulsion scratches.
