In the past, we had a thread that compared the Elmo 16CL to the CX-350. Here's a model I haven't heard of until on ebay now- the CL-250. Have any of you had experience using this machine? Is it a grade in-between the other two?

Probably produced for sale in Japan only as it is 100 volt, 50/60 Hz.

Maurice, I don't know much about such things but the lamp is said to be 24v 250watt. Would it need a transformer or something or is it actually suitable for U.K?

The mains input to the projector has to be 100 volts AC. It has an internal transformer to supply the necessary voltage to the lamp.
To use in the UK you would need a separate transformer 240 volts input, and 100 volts output.
To change between mains voltage cycles of 50 or 60 (50Hz for UK) this probably achieved by moving the driving belt between two sets of pulleys.
