I recently picked up a older Kodak Pageant Model (late 1950's model) and the complete power cord is in need of replacement. Any hints / suggestions for finding parts for these old machines? Thanks everyone!

I have a Kodak Pageant Model AV-12M6 from 1972 and the mains lead is a "captive" lead which is wired directly into the projector. I assume yours is the same.
To replace the lead you will have to remove the projector from its wooden case. This will not be an easy job and I wish you luck.
The paperwork with the projector gives an address for the Eastman Kodak Service Engineering Department which was at 800 Lee Road, Rochester, New York 14650. However, as I said above, the date is March 1972. Perhaps Eastman Kodak do still have some service facilities in the U.S.

Hello Maurice, Thank you for the information. My machine was made in the 1957-58 time frame. It's one of the models with arms that extend in the front instead of on top. If I don't have any luck finding a power cord I figure I can at least use this machine for spare parts for my other older Kodak Pageant. Thanks once again Maurice!

Models 8K5, 7K4, AV-085, AV-255s and AV-104 are easy to remove from their cabinet. The amp on the left side should be removed first. The remainder will then come out after removing 3 or 4 screws. Pick up a relpacement cord of same gauge at home supply stores like Home Depot. They sell cords with unatached wire ends .

You are welcome. There are a couple of screws on the bottom of the projector that have to be removed also. What model number is it that you have? The model number was typically on the main control knob plate.

I'll need to check next time I'm down in the basement. I know the word Kodascope" is on the plate. This one has more bells and whistles than my other Pageant (8K 5) has.
