I have a lovely print of De Mille's KING OF KINGS on three reels (not the 155 min roadshow print, but the 112 min version). It does not have the color sequences, but the print is good, no scratches, with soundtrack added in 1931. Asking $135 for it, plus $8 postage, media mail.

Yes Brian, I found him to reply to emails fast, they also despatch quickly. He forgot to put the price on it. I have it on VHS, love the theme music, which they play again during the long intermission.

£80 sounds good considering the length of the film, but the problem for you is the high cost of shipping. In the UK you would also have import tax if purchasing anything from the US over £40, I think the limit is.
I would go for the DVD, I think this film should be seen in colour.

I have to agree with Robert. I would pay exactly £0 for a B&W print of this title. It's a colour film. Why settle? Buy the DVD.

After the discussion I got my VHS copy out and viewed it; it was taken from a less than perfect copy, with speckles on the screen (scratches), and a slight colour change near the end. A long film at about 2 hours 20 minutes, but enjoyed it. If you like this film you would enjoy 'Jesus of Nazareth' starring Robert Powell, the best telling of the story.
