I am sure we will all be saddened to hear of the death of fellow Super 8 collector Zecariah Thompson. He made history trying to slit Super 8 down to just 7 mm widths, in an attempt to create super 7. He also modified Eumigs to take Super 7, renaming them Eupig. This was sadly never to be.

He modified many a projector...installing oil lighting in many a machine, for example the Bell & Howell range. This saved money on the lamps. I gave him an ST180 which he converted to flourescent lighting...fantastic lamp-life as you can imagine.

OMG, you guys. I thought this was all an elaborate joke, but I couldn't be 100% sure and was actually worried about offending somebody if I said so!
You sure fooled me there!
And the kicker is... I've actually had the idea about using fluorescent bulbs as projection lamps myself... seriously ... but I just don't know whether such bulbs would have any adverse effect on film... (radiation of some sort perhaps)...

Simon, this is good. This is real good. The Eupig! I love it. Oink, Oink! While we're on the subject. Did you know that LPP was actually Zorro's older brother. The one with the incontinence problem. His alma mater is I B tech!
