I was so sure that I never saw this list before when I was searching at 8mm as the sub-format, i.e. (pls copy and paste since this is too long)http://listings.ebay.com/_W0QQsocmdZListingItemList?pfid=1238&gcs=1070&sacat=-100&reqtype=2&socmd=ListingItemList&from=R2&socdpfcat=63821&pagetype=2&fcl=3&fsop=1&fsoo=1&pfmode =2&a15962=20685&a15961=20677&alist=a15962%2Ca15961
I was thinking that the seller had miscategorised his item. But then I found it was listed in category: DVDs & Movies > Film.
I clicked on "Film" to find where he has sub-cagtegorised his item. I found that it was not under 35mm nor 16mm.
So where is actually this item listed??
I was so worried that I had missed so many interesting items because I only relly on the sub-format list above.
I hope ebay.com will have clearer category system and the roots like the ebay.co.uk has. i.e DVD, Film & TV > Other Film Formats > Film > 8mm.

The search worked for me. I went to the DVD's and Movies section and then film. I put Tarzan in the search and clicked titles and descriptions. It then came back with about 10 titles including the one you mentioned.
Dont know why that didnt work on your machine Winbert.

I went to home and then selected DVD & Movies. Then went to Film.
I put Tarzan in the search box and ticked search titles and descriptions. When I ran the search the title you talked of was listed. Its not there now as the Auction has ended.

Indeed I was browsing eBay.com - but I find that in many cases eBay.com and eBay.co.uk list the same items, plus there's the option of doing a worldwide search (including items from "foreign" sellers) at the bottom of the listing page.
Winbert, of course I visited the link you posted but I wanted to try and find it through a search. I managed to completely miss the fact that the auction had already ended by that time.

Kev,
That is correct if you find from Ebay.com at DVD/Film you would get that auction.
But since I usually only searched at sub-format 8mm (as the second link I provided above) and did not find this auction. Defenitelly he put the acution under DVD/Film but not under sub-format 8mm nor 16mm nor 35mm.
This is the weakness of ebay.com since it does not show exactly where the roots of the category as the ebay.co.uk has.

Hi Wnbert, Yes I now see what you mean. In other words when you do a search it doesnt search backwards.
Another thing you can do is to search from the ebay.com home page in "All Categories" then when the search is complete it will list all the cats it has found items in. You can then select which cats you want to view etc. That way you will not miss any items.
