Well as most of you boys who live in the southern part of the UK will confirm, last night was one of the most ferocious thunder & lightning storms we have had in a very long time.

So last night I was in my Cine shed cleaning & checking my latest print purchase. After checking for bad splices, torn sprockets and after giving the film a thorough clean & lube, it was projection time. A quick dash across the garden to re-fill my coffee mug up, then it was movie time……

By now it was quarter past midnight, the film was a Castle film “Frankenstein” Projector purring film flickering Karloff rising from the table & outside the thunder roared & lightning was screaming across the sky. It was fantastic, so good that I ran the film again. Talk about the ultimate in reality. Colin Clive screaming it’s alive & a real thunderstorm at the same time only heightened my viewing pleasure.

Bring on those long winter nights. [Big Grin]

Craig

Yes I agree Craig. That storm we had last night was very scary and one of the worst I have ever seen in my lifetime.

A guy just up the road from us thought when his lights went out that we had a power cut but imagine his horror when he went out and saw his garage in flames. Yes the lightning had struck and knocked out just his supply.
I did hear the crack from the lightening and remarked to my mum "That was close" didnt realise just how close [Eek!]

Kev.

Jean-Marc, I love the dog pound thing. [Big Grin]

Craig, I can identify with your experience. I love the weather changes and winter nights too. [Cool]

Kev, I hope it was only poor fellow's garage. [Eek!]
