Hi Everyone, I have returned to the hobby of Super 8mm collecting, after an absence of 20 years. It's great to be back, actually having a hobby that one can get fully involved in.
I would like to thank the following people who have aided me in my re-emergence (in no particular order, so don't be offended) -
Kevin Faulkner - thanks Kev for your assistance in "opening the door".
Brad - thanks for "actually opening the door".
Craig Hamilton - The Elmo's working fine and I found a spring to do the job!
Ian at Perry's Movies, Phil at Classic, Paul at Foster Films and Barry at Independent 8 - all of whom have provided "food to feed the beast".
I look forward to taking an active part in our hobby.
I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Keith

Hi Keith, welcome to the forum, and welcome back to one of the most addictive hobbies I know. Glad to hear that the Elmo is performing well.

Well done on joining the forum, you should be able to fully enjoy your collecting as this forum has an archive bursting with any topic you can imagine. There is certainly a large membership of knowledgeable people who can assist with any problems you encounter. Not forgetting some complete nutters as well (no names mentioned) [Big Grin]

Once again, welcome back

Craig

Thanks Craig. I've always felt safe with "nutters". You know what they say - Better to be inside the tent p***** out than on the outside etc.

Hi Keith,

I too have just returned to the fold, though with not so great an absence as yourself - mine was only a few months whilst I was away on business.

Looks like we have both been welcomed back with open arms! [Big Grin]

ENJOY!!

Dave.

Many thanks for the welcome Dave. Away from the hobby for 20 years and I didn't commit murder! If I had I would have been back in ten with good behaviour.
