hi--is there any way on this forum to send a private message to a member, either as a standalone message or in response to a posting? and can messages that you post be edited?

Hi Michael,

If you want to send a message to another member you can simply find a item they have written here on the forum and click on the 2 people with an envelope which you will find at the top of every message within the forum. Private messages from other members will arrive in your incoming mesage box once you go into "My profile" at the top of the page.

Members can edit their own messages on the forum. Just click on the piece of notepaper with a pencil above your message and that will allow you to make changes. You cant however delete messages.
