Hi all,

Just had to let you know that our 2 special guests attending this years convention, are

Valerie Leon and Caroline Munro.

It's great news for the Convention,
which keeps going from strength to strength, each and every year.

This coupled with excellent room rates, 8mm, 16mm, dvd and equipment dealers, Hi Definition LCP displays, movie memorabilia stalls, bring & buy, the famous auction, films shows, raffles plus lots lots more means
that this is ONE CONVENTION YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS.

I look forward to seeing you all there.
(The convention is held on Sunday 16th November - with the dinner held on the Saturday night beforehand, 15th November)

Kind regards

Adrian

As a Hammer fan who has met both guests at various festivals and events, I can say that both are charming and approachable, and will certainly enhance the event. Apart from both being Hammer stars, both have appeared in Bond films, and Valerie is also a Carry On star, so plenty to please most people!

Adrian - If you have a 16mm projector at the event, I'd be only too pleased to bring a Hai Karate ad featuring Valerie!

BBC4 is currently showing "Up Pompeii!" in chronological order. Just watched "The Senator and the Asp", first shown 13 April 1970. Nausius (Kerry Gardner) introduces his new girl-friend.

Girl: "They call me Daili."
Lurcio (Frankie Howard) "Yes, and nighly too I should think."

Nausius says he's composed an ode to her. Lurcio takes the tablet from him.

Lurcio (reading) :
"Behold her beauty fine as gold
As great as Rome's fair cities
But greater by far and a joy to behold
Is the greatness of her interlect."

Nausius: "I couldn't think of a word to rhyme there."
Lurcio: "You're the only one."

Yes. You've twigged it. The delightful Valerie Leon (born 12 November 1945) in her only appearance in these TV shows. However, her presence did grace seven "Carry On" films.

How many days to Blackpool?
