I read today in International Movie Making of the death of Alan E. Lott F.A.C.I who will be remembered with affection by us older readers of ACW. I spoke to him only a few weeks ago when he was about to go into hospital for an operation. I didn't know him personally but his writings and technical articles are familiar to many. A sad loss to the fraternity.

........and the irony is that Alan had a wanted Ad printed in the back pages.

As a 9.5mm user many years ago the Centre Sprocket column was the first I always turned to in "Amateur Cine World."

That was what I talked to him about, Maurice. He placed that ad in the IAC mag and I told him where he could get a circuit diagram and gave him some other details. It would seem he was not able to get round to using the info.

Martin

Alan obviously repeated his ad in "International Movie Making."
