Does anybody have any info on this company who operated out of Northern Ireland in the 70's?

Erne Films operated out of 546,Woodchurch Road,Birkenhead,Merseyside and 9,Celtic park,Enniskillen,Co
Fermanagh,N.Ireland.They stocked titles from Marketing and
Universal 8,and Cinemascope titles.

Hi Mike,
Cant say who the owner was,but they were selling Features in December 1981 at£65 + £2 post,some of the titles were Star trek-The Motion Picture,When Worlds Collide Airplane,One Eyed Jacks
Escape To Alcatraz,and 4 reel Universal 8 titles at £35 + £1.50 Post,

I've seen this very late but I think I recall that when they shut down they advertised, probably in 'Movie Maker' for a buyer to take on the company. An unusual point was that any buyer would have also received some original footage of the Pope in Ireland and possibly even some artwork in relation to what they appeared to have planned as a Super 8 release of their own.

Adrian,

Just looking at an advert for Erne films in an old issue of Movie Maker dated Dec 1979 they had some very competitive prices for the current super 8 releases of the time,Marketing 6 reelers for £78 a pop and you could even purchase one reel at a time for £26.95!

They also used to run a movie club,was anyone a member here??
