The Super-8 Motel chain is the bane of Super-8 Hobbyists in the US.

It means every time you do a web search you will have to wade through all sorts of unrelated hits!

If you do stay at one, there are collector items for your hobby. Such as plastic drink cups, ice buckets, etc.

And it takes real courage for any man to admit he's a dumb ass.....

Just an additional information for the motel's name (from wikipedia):

quote:
Super 8 was founded in 1972 by Dennis Brown as a motel referral system, which was replaced with a franchise operation in 1973. The first Super 8, with 60 rooms, was opened in 1974 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, which still operates today as the Super 8 Aberdeen East. The original room rate was $8.88, hence the numeric brand name. Though a popular and clever attribution, some[who?] erroneously believed that "Super 8" was an abbreviated version of the phrase a "super 8 hours of sleep."
regards,
