I happen to get a Blu-Ray player for 25 bucks from our local pawn shop (a steal, it didn't have a remote and we already had a universal remote at home), so we bought that blu-ray edition of STAR WARS.
OK, admittedly, the picture is quite good, but I'm miffed about the extras!
The documentaries for the original three films are just the one hour TV versions, and while you can look at a lot of individual stuff, it's not as good as seeing a whole documentary, in my opnion.
I have the four disc DVD special edition of the original Star Wars trilogy (in the silver box) and the documentary is MUCH better, the first of the three films getting more coverage, of course.
My other peeve about this set, and perhaps someone can help me fix the problem.
I clicked on the first of those three STAR WARS making of TV specials, and the image that came up was a small "box" up in the upper left corner of the TV image, (please note, we have not moved up to a LCD TV and currently have a 30 inch old fashioned TV).
Is there anyway to make this full screen on the TV?
... as that little "box" presentation is damned annoying!

It's a SONY.
The film plays just just fine, (well, actually, if that function is somewhere in the Blu-ray player, I need to readjust it so that the scope image isn't imporperly shown, with the image stretched and not anamorphic).
By the way, as a professional artist and painter, I really wasn't impressed with the artwork, some illustrations are almost at the level of novice artist. They would have done much better with excellent reproductions of the original theatrical poster artwork.
That reminds me, how many of you remember this poster .....
It was released with the two LP STAR WARS original soundtrack, in 1977. The poster is rather large, of the attack on the Deathstar, but the neat thing is that there are about three or four Millenium Falcoms on the poster! It's no doubt an early illustration for the movie and was a promo with the LP.
