Google put this up to commemorate aviation pioner Amelia Earhart, who was to disappear over the Pacific in 1937.

A group just completed an expedition to Nikumaroro island using sonar to try to locate evidence of her plane. It sounds like they didn't find anything but they still have a lot of data to look at when they get back to Hawaii. Here's and article about it: No wreckage found in expedition to solve fate of Amelia Earhart

What's fascinating about that Island, is that they did find a goodly number of artifacts from that very era, womens stuff as well as other stuff in and around the Island. One of the great mysteries.

But this is the greatest mystery ...

Why are there 10 hot dogs per package, but no more than 8 hot dog buns per package? (grrr!)

I just visited Germany and they package their eggs in Tens!

(-Must be some Metric Thing!)

I wonder if people would remember Amelia Earhart today had the mystery been solved decades ago.

Let's face it: had Titanic docked successfully in New York that April she'd just be another entry in a list of ships names now.

That way when you use up your buns you have to run out and get another pack so you can eat the last two hot dogs. But then you have six buns left so you have to run out and get more hot dogs. It's a vicious circle, the hot dog makers are conspiring with bun bakeries. Mystery solved!

The color of the egg depends on the breed of the chicken. In the US they probably discovered that people had a preference for white eggs and have been breeding chickens to produce bigger and better white eggs ever since. other than that there is not much difference between a white egg and a brown egg. My neighbors used to give us fresh eggs from their chickens and they had all different colors.

Gee, I thought it was due to heartburn! [Big Grin]
