Well its been years since my wife "my better half" and I have gone to the movies together, usually she cant be bothered, anyway we both enjoyed the Alien films when they came out long ago so it was a chance to see how director Ridley Scott handled this one. I have to say it was very good with plenty of edge of the seat stuff. The slight down side is that was we watched the 2D version as my wife cant handle 3D. In saying that the 35mm 2D print was very good indeed. Prometheus needs to be watched on the big screen so dont wait for the dvd go to the movies, a most enjoyable night.

I agree Graham. A very good prequel to Alien. I did the @D as I get headaches from the 3D. Avartar gave me a migrain. [Eek!]

I thought it was beautifully filmed but the acting was mediocre and the science was terrible. I loved the overall look but it felt like a 90min trailer for the sequel

We watched the blu-ray "2D" on the VP tonight and again I really enjoyed it. The blu-ray quality is very good and am pretty sure there is an extra bit of the Alien at the end that I cant remember watching when it came out on film.

Although in saying that, as we were watching it Yvonne said I am sure I have seen it. I replied, I dont think so. I cant remember you coming with me to the movies.....well reading this topic I got that wrong [Roll Eyes] ....I must be going silly or something. Well I better tell her she was right....great thing this internet [Big Grin]

Graham.

PS. Back to Ernie and "film" this monday night.. [Smile]

I saw it in 2D on blu-ray this week. Great on-the-edge-of-your- seat stuff.
