As far as I understand Winbert,if these stamps are marked 1st & 2nd class postage and haven't been franked, then they could still be used legally.They could be bought now and used in the future as the postage isn't marked on them and they could still be used as the class of postage would still have to be honoured.People including myself,bought stamps in bulk when we knew the postage was to be substantially increased, so if I used a 1st class stamp purchased 12 months ago,even though the postage has gone up,then that stamp would still be honoured as a 1st class stamp.

Yes I thought so. It is just like money, they will never get expired unless the central bank withdraw them, and yet we will get new money as the replacement at the same face value.
