For ET fans this is a must have blu-ray. The great thing with this, is that its the original 1982 version. The Universal 100th Anniversary Collection series is nicely presented and includes a 44 page booklet.
I think its great that Steven Spielberg has released his movie as we remembered it at the movies. Of course on the sound side its been remastered with Dolby Digital and DTS digital surround. As well as the Blu-ray it includes the DVD as well.
The movie looks and sounds great and highly recommend it for any ET fans that might be out there.

What I like about this blu-ray is they haven't appeared to have tinkered with the original effects too much(certainly not in the George Lucas-star wars-sort-of-way, anyhow)!

Give me the original politically incorrect version, where the officers are holding guns instead of bloody phones! Dang that Speilberg!
