Just been watching the news of the storm moving up your east coast. It looks nasty so hope all is well with forum members.

Years ago in the early 1980s we new of a retired American his name was "Charlie" from New York State, who would come out here every summer staying with friends, then return to the states for his northern summer. He did that journey for many years skipping the winters. He was an amazing person to talk to and had led a most interesting life, particularly during his time in the military in Europe during World War2. He died in his home state in the US years ago.

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone and Steve new snow blower I guess is getting a real workout...all the best from down under.

No Worries, Graham!

My new snow blower and I will likely be seen in "your day in pictures" by this time tomorrow!

Right now it's sitting out on the front porch. I'll need to broom it off since it is itself a couple of inches under!

I know it runs because I had it operating last week, I still haven't applied it just yet! It seemed a little futile to fight the snow while it was still coming down almost horizontally!

We resigned ourselves to what was going on outside and just had a nice, pleasant day indoors, all the way from pancakes and bacon for breakfast to a nice selection of Blackhawks a few minutes ago.

(Do you remember I said I often learn from my films? One of tonight's was about the Rail Diesel Car [RDC]. It showed one operating along the New Jersey Shore and stopping at "Wildwood Junction". From this I found out Wildwood once had a railroad station...that's right: THE Wildwood.)

Our cars look good to go, there just isn't any road for them just yet!
