Yes I heard on the radio on my way home. We were only watching Silver Streak a couple of nights ago. Not sure which came first this or Jaws. Jaws the only henchman to make a return in a James Bond films (I think) and he turned into the good guy at the end.

Another sad loss to the screen.

I have to admit, I was surprised by this! I thought he had died a good deal of years ago! [Eek!]

Sadly, folks who have that thyroid issue which brings about "giantism" also has the sad side effect of not allowing for a long life. He lived for quite a few years longer than most in his position?

I wonder if there has been any word from Roger Moore, as Richard and himself had a few fun battles on screen!

I met Richard Kiel a couple of years ago and what a great guy,We mentioned the Bond connection but i was also interested in his appearance in Roustabout with Elvis Presley,He met Elvis a couple of times before they worked together and said he was still quite shy but had a great sense of humour, sad to hear his passing,Mark.

I met him at an autograph show in New Jersey and he was very kind and apologized that he needed to remain seated because his joints hurt too much when he stood up.

He also disliked Otto Preminger while they made Skidoo.

Sorry to hear that he passed.

Thanks for posting this.
