Isn't it nice that we still have collectors here that are willing to send out their goods to you for you to assess personally before even parting with any money!

The ultimate compliment I feel you can ever give to the great collecting community we have here.

Often as is the case here, it is between two individuals that have never even met, but feel trust is no issue.

What a great forum we really have here and what superb people are among it! [Smile]

I agree totally Andrew!
It is wonderful. I haven't traded much, but with those I have had the opportunity to trade or buy/sell, it has been a pleasure.
I find that on purchases I have had, people have given more than they have taken.....
I just wish I could be more of a player....with the dollar as it is(which i complain about almost daily-hehee) it is no longer feasible for me. I feel lucky to have purchase what i did, when i did...

There really are some great folk among the film collecting fraternity. Folk like Jim Reid who, when we visited the Texas State Fair, collected us from our hotel and put a film show on and then, on the Sunday took two astonished old people half round the area. Folk like William Phelps who saw my plea for a rare religious film and sent it free of charge. Words can't express what I feel about them and others whose faces are unknown but whose advice and genuine honesty is so valued and makes this forum a very special place. Long may it continue.

Wow! I don't think I have ever ran into that. I have traded for films, sight unseen before and have fortunately, never been screwed with an item that is not as described, so I have been lucky.

... but as a general rule, we film collectors tend to be a decent lot ...

There are very few that I could honestly say I wouldn't trust with a film purchase from, and the very few (that can be listed on one hand), will remain un-named. [Smile]

It is good to know that the majority of us are trustworthy and honest in our deals. We know how it feels to get screwed on a film deal and wouldn't knowingly do that to a fellow film enthusiast.

Andrew,

Osi's mailbox has a glitch where he can't access the "Delete Checked Messages" button on the page.
I've reported the issue and I hope our move to new software (no date set) will take care of that.

Yes, I would love the freedom to not only send PM's but receive them as well. Is it because it's such an old account? I have no idea as to how long I have been on this forum. Somewhere around 10 years I think.
