Well I took a gamble buying with this blu-ray, as I had not seen this version of "Jungle Book" at the cinema.
So our Saturday night at the movies was screening through the VP this new release just out this week on Blu-ray. Yvonne, myself, and our granddaughter were the audience and I must admit the transfer looks pretty good. We all enjoyed it, although if you like the music then stick to the 1967 original, as Christopher Walken "King Louie" singing "I Wan'na Be Like You" is really not a patch on the original 1967 recordings which are more jazzy and in my view much more fun to listen to.
However this new Disney "Jungle Book" is certainly good entertainment. The CGI special effects are amazing to look at on blu-ray....well done Disney.

This is where Digital 3D projection in the cinema is brilliant and in a "class of its own". Movies like "Hugo", "Life of PI" are very impressive in 3D. I do hope that the studios continue making 3D titles available into the future.
