Well the old Ernemann 2 35mm projector has been busy this weekend. I had Sarah's Key sitting around for a quite a while now, so it was now time to thread up the projector and platter to watch it. I have to say though, that although we are in a digital projection era and it is good, there is definitely something unique about the look of film.

Its a pity that film projection has all but dissapeared at the cinema, with so many prints along with projectors etc have been destroyed in the change over to digital.

When I watched Sarah's Key both the scope print and dolby digital sound were outstanding, in fact I dont think you can beat it. Here is hoping that one day film will return...now that would be nice.

The projector running the other night with the dolby digital reader and processor doing its thing.
