I was surprised to see on Belgian television that some footage was projected at 24 fps instead of 16 (it was an amateur film from the 50's or the 60's I don't remember) and tought it was a Belgian speciality to have forgotten basic rules about film. But I've just seen the same mistake in a British documentary. I'm surprised that there has not been one single person (nor here nor in the UK) to say : "Are you sure this is the right speed ? The people seem to run instead of walk..."

Also for TV it would have been 25 frames/sec - they would have been in even more of a hurry. [Smile]

Though they could have used a technique called "Vidfire" that was developed to re-instate video 50 field/sec to film recordings of programmes made on video tape (Mainly early Dr Who) to re-speed it without jerk frame repetition, I suspect no-one would pay for it.
