I am going to have my "Gorky park" restores and mag striped ...

However, the full feature I have on bluray (I'm can't remember if it was off of DVD), has mono sound. Very good mono, but mono ...

My question is, has there ever been a stereo edition of "Gorky park as, if I can have a nice stereo soundtrack on this, I'd LOVE to have it that way!!! [Smile]

I am happy to report that, while "Gorky" was released on bluray and DVD as a 2.0 soundtrack (the same mono soundtrack on both left and right channels), the original soundtrack for "Gorky Park" is in fact in stereo and because I love the film so much, I am going to do my own "cut" of the feature on digital file, utilizing the stereo soundtrack, overlayed over the film. In some instances, (for instance the whole first three or so minutes) it's all the original soundtrack, and that "crunching" music at the beginning is just AWESOME!!

So, good news on one front.

IMDB has the original mix as being mono not stereo, but who knows?

There’s a optical 8mm problem print on eBay I wonder if it’s mono?

That might be my auction, as i have one up for auction at the moment, an extra print. On that one the optical sound is just fine, very little scratches, but it does have the pinkish eastman fade.

Could you put up the link, just in case it is someones elses print? I always like seeing how this specific print has held up.
