It's hard to believe we're up to number eight!

The CineSea Film Collectors Convention is back in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday, October 5th & Sunday, October 6th 2013

As always, there will be a massive multiplicity of millimeters….. Super 8, Standard 8, 9.5, 16 and 35mm films for sale. Dealers bring all types of film equipment and supplies. I've said it many times before that no matter how many great bargains there are or how many prints get screened during the two days, the best part is spending time with fellow film enthusiasts at the dealer tables, the group dinners, walking along the Wildwood Boardwalk or hanging out at the beautiful beach right across the street. Wildwood is a terrific place, with Mariner's Landing at Morey's Piers Amusement Park open both Saturday & Sunday and Atlantic City only 30 minutes away.

Here's a look at the fun from the past gatherings:

Steve Klare call this a film vacation and he's right on the mark. These events are so much fun for me that I believe I look forward to them more than my actual vacations! A few Forum members are planning on arriving early Friday afternoon, so please consider coming out on Friday, October 4th and staying through Sunday. The Ocean Holiday Resort kindly gives CineSea attendees a terrific rate ($65) and this is a fun group to hang out with. We start setting up late afternoon on Friday, go out to dinner (we're big on eating) and then watch a few films. Saturday is the big day (group breakfast!). Check out the film and equipment bargains or better yet, get a dealer table and sell/trade those unwanted prints you know you have stored in that attic/closet/every available space. Take a break and head out to the beach or have fun on the pier. Come on back for some afternoon screenings and the group dinner. And then....screenings till we drop. We'll have the latest releases to show and plenty of rarities.

Created by John Black & Shorty Caruso, the purpose behind CineSea is to give the collector an affordable show in an affordable location that leaves you with more money for film. We lost Mr. Black two years ago and we carry on and dedicate each show to John and to those who share his passion for film.

Please join us for one great film filled weekend.

I'm not sure what I'm up to just yet. I have something going on Saturday afternoon, but getting to Wildwood is important enough to me I'm planning on heading down to arrive while the bunch is at dinner.

-or if plans change I'll be there Saturday breakfast time.

Thanks Guy, it's mutual.

I thought "Well, there will be one next Spring!"

-but I've missed a couple and something cool always seems to happen when I'm not there!

I still haven't met Steve Osborne and Dino Everette showed 9.5mm in a local theater the first time I didn't go!
