Hello all

Siemens 2000 16mm Projector

I'm after a lamp resistor for this splendid machine. I need the 1000w 120v version. Does anyone have one for sale, if so please drop me a line.

Alternatively I gather that the resistors were also made available as a kit with various possible positions for fitting the spiral on the ceramic plug, depending on the required configuration. Does anyone have more info ?

thanking you
cheers
Phil

If memory serves me correctly Edwin van Eck has these for sale.
He also has some other parts for these projectors for sale and the full information about them as well.
Here's a link to his website: http://www.van-eck.net/itable.php?lang=en&size=0&cat=film&merk=151&type=2000

the thick wire wounded resitor on top of ceramic body can easily be shorten by a piece of copper wire. Then you have converted lamp voltage for use with a 110V transformer.
The thin wire wounded resistor at bottom of ceramic body can be shorten in similar way. Siemens did employ here a small wire wounded resistor for softer regulation.
If required I could measure Ohm value, when I am back home.

Josef

PS: If you use original Siemens "Regelfix" adjustable transformer
with special 3 pole socket, we can supply special 3 pin plug to connect it to mains cord of projector.
