It's been a good couple of days for Film based programmes on BBC radio 4. Just been listening to a great hour long tribute to Morricone, very interesting.

quote:
Sir Christopher Frayling presents a tribute to the renowned Italian film score composer Ennio Morricone, who turns 80 later this month. With contributions from Goldfrapp, Chris Rea, Nitin Sawhney, Anne Billson and Andrew Paresi.
If you're interested, it can be heard again for the next couple of days here; http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/pip/5o5wo/

There's a handful of about six or so composers that I really admire for being constantly "on" with they're compositions ...

Morricone is among them!

Who can ever forget the theme to "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"?
