A Ligonie 9.5 projector is on sale on eBay for € 2.350. The very same machine is on sale on le bon coin for...€ 1.950 ! A difference of 400 euros !

affordable it maybe, but they are a pretty dreadful machine. Built down to a price and the result was an unreliable and poor performing sound projector. If it is a Mk1 the amplifier uses the big old type valves which caused the amp to overheat and fail. Even if it is the Mk2 which used the more modern smaller valves, it is pretty much guaranteed that the amp will not work, mostly due to age and degradation of components and the cost cutting exercises in production. The motor is overvolted, another cause of failure. A real shame as the design make it such an iconic looking machine, but unless you intend to put it on a shelf for a display item, forget it, especially at that price.Comment

It would only really be of interest to a projector collectler for display purposes. There are plenty of more suitable projectors if you wish to show 9.5mm films. Ken Finch.Comment
